HEATIZON GREEN RADIANT PRODUCTS
Going green isn't the wave of the future...

it has become a prime focus of today’s building practices. And at Heatizon Systems, we’ve designed radiant heating products that support green concepts, like sustainability, use of fewer natural resources, and energy-efficiency. So, while you enjoy comfortable, radiant heat and lower home maintenance costs, Heatizon will help you protect the environment.

If designing, building working and living in green buildings is important to you... Heatizon Systems radiant heating products are a perfect solution.

  Seven shades of green
1
Heatizon Products use clean electric energy—a quickly growing and renewable energy resource.
2

Heatizon Products are 100% energy efficient, and consume less energy than conventional heating systems, so they lower energy demands.

3
People are more comfortable at a lower ambient air temperature when Heatizon Products are in use. This means you can maintain the same level of comfort with a lower thermostat setting, saving
energy and money.
4
Heatizon uses zone heating, which means you can heat only the rooms you use, and turn it off in the rooms you don’t. Zone heating can produce
energy savings of more than 20% compared to heating both occupied and unoccupied areas of your house.
5
Heatizon Products produce zero emissions at the source—no odor, fumes, smoke, exhaust, or noise.
6
Heatizon Products have solid state design, so parts don’t wear out. That means they have years of life, and don’t need replacement.
7
Heatizon Products are made predominately of
recyclable materials.

Radiant heating is a technology utilized for the heating of both indoor and outdoor areas. "Radiant energy" is emitted from a heat source and penetrates all objects in its path, including people. The result is an even and comfortable heat. Radiant heating has a number of advantages: it is more efficient than baseboard heating and usually more efficient than forced-air heating because no energy is lost through ducts. The lack of moving air can also be advantageous to people with severe allergies.
Because your thermostat can be set 10 degrees cooler, yet energy consumption is reduced by 40%, radiant heat is becoming more popular with designers, builders, and consumers who are looking for greener alternatives. But not all radiant systems are created equal.
Radiant heating technology is usually accomplished by two different methods. Electric radiant heat utilizes cables, mesh, or mat heating elements sandwiched between the subfloor and the floor covering. Hydronic radiant heating uses gas boilers to heat the water and pumps to move it through pipes which are embedded in a concrete material in between the subfloor and the floor covering.

Hydronic radiant heating can be sluggish getting started. It is difficult to control different areas in the home, so you may end up heating rooms that you don’t really need heated. Gas hydronic boilers may also produce odor, fumes, exhaust, or noise. Worst of all, hydronic systems require regular maintenance of valves and pumps, and have to be run periodically during the spring, summer, and fall to eliminate risk of mineral build up in the valves and pipes.

Heatizon Systems electric radiant heating systems are a cleaner radiant heating method. And, using a renewable energy source demonstrates that we care about tomorrow. There is no need to waste precious energy by heating empty rooms—Heatizon allows you to control the system room by room. You only heat where you need it, when you want it. Add one of Heatizon’s programmable thermostats, and the system will turn on and off at pre-set times, making it a simple, affordable and an environmentally responsible choice.
