February 20,2007 – Heatizon Systems products are selected for snow-melting project at Jordan Valley Water Treatment Facility in Bluffdale, UT

Murray, Utah – The engineering department of Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District selected Heatizon Systems products for their snow melting needs at their newly remodeled treatment plant in Bluffdale, Utah. The project’s electrical contractor, Great Basin Electric, hired WarmQuest, a Heatizon product distributor, to install Tuff Cable heating element on the north side of the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District office.

The 17 zone system will provide snow melting for an elevated walkway, a pedestrian bridge, and an on-grade approach totaling over 3,100 square feet. The system, designed by Shawn Wright of WarmQuest, is installed on 4x4x4 gauge remesh with elevated chairs in new-pour concrete.

The system will be activated with CBX7 Control Units, which are to be installed in rough-in boxes installed on concrete in the building’s interior, and will be activated with a selector box and a pavement mounted snow sensor in the approach.
