Heatizon's Tuff Cable heating element is a very durable, 10 gauge coated copper cable that is chemical and gasoline resistant. For metal roof deicing applications, Tuff Cable is designed to be installed in our Patented Heatizon's Heat Sink Kit or Invizimelt Panel. Heat Sink Kits are a cementitous material that can be installed under the metal roofing system on the subroof. Heatsink systems are easy for customized deicing layouts and provide an evenly heated surface of quick melting, Invizimelt Panels are composed of Aluminum Panels that Tuff Cable snaps into providing an effective result and a quick and easy way to install the system. Invizimelt Panels can also be used to Retrofit existing roofs over or under the roof edge shingle! Tuff Cable roof deicing applicationsare designed to be aesthetically appealing and are engineered to meet our customers performance needs.. As always Tuff Cable carries an industry leading 25 year warranty.

How does a Heatizon Systems Tuff Cable Roof Deicing System work?
Before: Tuff Cable can be installed underneath metal roofing where problem areas can occur. There are two patented ways Heatizon has developed to install a Tuff Cable Roof Deicing System.
After: The first way to install a Tuff Cable roof deicing system is to use a Heatizon Heatsink Kit utilizing a cementitious material installed on the subroof. The second way is to use the Heatizon Invizimelt System, utilizing our fabricated Aluminum panels.
A Heatizon Heatsink Kit is a cementitious system installed on the subroof and Tuff Cable is placed in gaps between the Heatsink material and then filled in with our cementitous filler. The end result is a very effective even heat transfer to the metal roofing material providing 22 watts/sqft.

Tuff Cable roof deicing systems can be custom designed to fit any problem area while providing a permanent solution.
An Invizimelt Kit can be used instead of a Heatsink Kit providing the same effective results.
Tuff Cable is installed in a pre-formed groove on each Invizimelt Panel. Tuff Cable is sealed off using our Aluminum Tape to complete the installation on the Roof.
Any kind of Metal Roofing system can be installed over a Tuff Cable roof deicing system with no limitations to structural design. All systems are design engineered for each specific project.
Preventing heavy snow loads, dangerous icicles, and ice dams caused by the freeze thaw cycle are some of the uses for our unique roof deicing products.
It is important to keep valleys clear for drainage and also to prevent the freeze thaw cycle from occurring in them.
