Snow Melting in a Sand Bed
Tuff Cable or Hott-Wire heating elements can be embedded in a sand bed for under pavers, concrete or asphalt.
When installing in a sand bed, a layer of sand is placed down before the heating elements. Heating elements are secured using a Heatizon Paver Kit that includes stakes. After the heating element is secured to the paver kit, sand is placed over the heating elements to completely cover them.
Connections are also embedded in the sand.
