Who we are

Heatizon Systems has manufactured electric radiant heating products in the United States since 1979. The current business entity has operated for over 30 years, continuing a manufacturing lineage that predates it — bringing the same low-voltage radiant heating expertise forward under Heatizon’s name. Heatizon is based in Murray, Utah and designs and manufactures every product in its lineup in the United States.
Low-voltage products — Tuff Cable and ZMesh
Tuff Cable is a durable low-voltage coated copper heating cable rated for installation in new-pour concrete, existing concrete via saw-cut retrofit, hot-pour asphalt, sand beds under pavers, and under roofing materials in Heatizon’s patented Invizimelt panel system. It is strong and versatile enough to melt snow and ice from driveways, parking lots, walkways, and roofs — and precise enough to provide even, comfortable radiant floor heating.
ZMesh is a bronze mesh heating element approximately 1/16 inch thick — the thickness of a standard window screen — yet robust enough to provide perfectly even radiant heat for floor warming, in-floor heating, and under-roof snow melting and deicing. ZMesh can be nailed and stapled through during hardwood floor and deck installation, creating no floor buildup and requiring no heatsink embed.
ZMesh and Tuff Cable are the only products in the United States and Canada listed under UL Standard 1588 for snow and ice melting installed under roofing materials — making Heatizon the only manufacturer whose products satisfy the NEC Article 426 requirement for under-roof and enclosed panel heating in permitted construction.
Line-voltage products
Heatizon also manufactures a full line of line-voltage heating systems using self-regulating and constant wattage technologies.
Hott-Wire and Cozy Heat are mineral-insulated (MI) cables sharing the same fiberglass-insulated copper construction — Hott-Wire for outdoor snow melting in concrete, asphalt, and pavers, and Cozy Heat for interior floor heating and slab heating. Both are ETL listed and carry a 10-year manufacturer warranty.
GutterMelt is Heatizon’s self-regulating and constant wattage heat trace cable for gutters, downspouts, and eaves — ETL listed for the United States and Canada, available by the foot or as pre-configured 120V kits.
Outpipe is Heatizon’s heat trace cable for pipe freeze protection, pipe temperature maintenance, valve protection, and tank heating — the same self-regulating and MI technology as GutterMelt, configured for pipe and tank applications.
Heatwave is an easy-to-install line-voltage floor warming mat for smaller residential and DIY projects, available at major retailers.
Patented systems for pedestal and deck snow melting
The pedestal paver snow melting system is a complete, engineered solution for rooftop terraces, elevated plazas, and pedestal-supported paver surfaces. Hott-Wire mineral-insulated line-voltage cable is installed in insulated heating pans beneath the paver surface, with aluminum tape distributing heat evenly upward through the finished deck. The system is invisible in the completed installation, activates automatically, and is custom-designed for each project.
The deck pan heating system uses the same Hott-Wire MI cable and pan technology for wood-framed decks with standard 12-inch or 16-inch joist spacing. Insulated aluminum heating pans sit directly on the joists, Hott-Wire cable routes through the pan channels and is covered with aluminum tape, and the deck face is installed on top. Small aluminum joist plates protect the wood at every cable crossing point. No minimum clearance is required. The system supports 120V, 208V, 240V, and 277V supply voltages without a transformer.
Both systems are patented Heatizon designs — the only purpose-built, permanently installed electric pan heating systems for their respective deck constructions available from a listed manufacturer in the United States.
ETL listed across the full product line
All Heatizon products are ETL listed by Intertek to UL and CSA standards — independently certified by an OSHA-recognized Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory for the United States and Canada. Every system is custom-designed for the specific project: surface area, surface type, regional climate, and electrical supply are all specified before materials are ordered. Heatizon provides full technical design assistance and unlimited post-commissioning technical support with every system.
Our Company
Heatizon System is a leader in luxury radiant heating, radiant snow melting, radiant roof snow melt and deicing, and radiant floor warming systems. Our systems are perfect for any home or building because they provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions to heating, snow melting, warming needs. Heatizon Systems products are installed in ‘zones’, allowing our customers to integrate radiant heat into as few or as many, as large or small, of areas as they wish. Each zone or area allows you to maximize energy efficiency, reduce utility costs, and enjoy the comforts of radiant heat wherever you spend your time or need the protection.
Heatizon Systems has been making radiant in-floor heating, radiant snow melting, radiant roof snow melt and deicing, radiant floor warming, and/or radiant freeze protection products since 1979. All of the products that Heatizon Systems makes are energized by electricity and are designed to deliver years of trouble free comfort, convenience and risk reduction while out performing the competition in every aspect. Heatizon Systems has many radiant experts on staff to answer any questions related to the operation, design or installation of our products. Heatizon Systems offers product distribution throughout the United States & Canada. Heatizon offers unparalleled support from purchase, through installation and operation of our systems.
