The Heatwave cable system is perfect for odd shaped spaces or for controlling the heat output for the designated area. Heatwave cable allows the installer to design cable to match an area where the Heatwave mat would be challenging to fit. By adjusting the spacing, the Heatwave cable can change it’s output from 8 watts per square foot, or a maximum output of 15 watts per square feet.

The Heatwave cable is installed using the included strapping, cable clips (separate purchase), or is compatible with most cable underlayment systems.

120 Versus 240 Volts

Heatwave cables are available in either 120 volts (110) or 240 volts (220). While the heat output does not change, 240 volt systems can accommodate larger size spaces.

Choose the Right Size

When choosing a Heatwave cable for your space, sizing is crucial. The Heatwave cable CANNOT be cut or shortened in any way, they are engineered to be the length they are. Take measurements of your space, subtracting for vanities, tubs, toilets, showers (if you do not wish to heat them), and any other fixtures. Once you have the measurements, choose a system that close to the middle range of the calculations provided in the table below. Heatwave cable cannot be placed closer than 2 inches apart, and cannot overlap or touch.
